About Bill C-458:
Bill C-458 proposes to extend the tax deadline for charitable donations, so that eligible donations made up until the last day of February may be claimed in the previous calendar year. Bill C-458 will also establish the last seven days of February as National Charities Week in Canada.
Bill C-458 had its 1st hour of debate at Second Reading in the House of Commons on March 19, 2013, and will return before the House of Commons for a 2nd hour of debate in the near future.
